Herndon, VA — Volkswagen of America, Inc. (VWoA) named Duncan Movassaghi executive vice president, sales and marketing for the Volkswagen brand. He starts in his new role Feb. 3.
Duncan, 45, currently senior vice president of sales for VWoA, will be responsible for sales, marketing, after sales and product marketing for the brand in the U.S. He will report to Scott Keogh, head of Volkswagen Group of America.
“We have the brand, the products and the plan to take advantage of a unique moment,” Scott said. “Duncan will sharpen our decision-making and help us make VW matter again.”
Duncan joined VWoA in February 2018 from SKODA U.K., where he served as managing director, running sales, aftersales, planning, customer quality, network development, marketing and public relations. He originally joined the Volkswagen Group in 2010 as head of sales operations for SKODA UK and then ran after sales for Volkswagen passenger cars in the U.K.
Duncan graduated from Cambridge University in 1998 with a degree in Engineering.
